Milwaukee Street Festival 100,000 attend
Here is info on the 2004 Riversplash Busker Program.
The dates for Riversplash 2004 will be June 4, 5, & 6
We are looking for up to 4 acts that will rotate (minimum 2 performances Friday & Sunday 3 on Saturday) in two spots during the 3 day event. We will only take 4 acts maximum to allow acts to take maximum advantage of our 100,000 visitors.
We pay a small daily stipend ($100 per day per act) and travel allowance (up to $200 per act) plus we furnish a room (Motel 6) and local transport (rental van if one act has a valid license and transports all acts).
I will forward a couple of pictures to give you an idea of what the event is like both on a Saturday afternoon (on pavement) and on Sunday (on grass), also a picture to give you an idea of the evening crowds. Just write to ralphgar@aol.com and request photos.
This is an active event with much music and "spots" are difficult to find. We make every effort to help street performers (one small PA system is furnished) in their quest for the best spots but it is still difficult and it is ultimately the responsibility of the performer.
