i took a look at his site as well, and I like you noticed the costume and was intrigued lol.
Anyway, I took the liberty of looking him up so I could see his act, and thought since I found his video, that I'd include it here:

I will be reviewing promo's and contacting acts soon. I just returned home from Nebraska and, Texas, and Louisiana.

Thanks to all that sent their material.

                  to clarify

I am only helping with a small part of the entertainment at the State Fair. (Which is my area of expertise, street performers). Any one else should send their information to the fair itself.

I have also filled all spots and would like to thank everyone for their interest.

                  Thanks,
                  Dallas

Dallas' post is a bit misleading

                    Hi folks in the community.

Dallas does not, as far as I know, have any exclusive deal to bring variety talent to the fair, and according to the website of the fair, it looks like the variety acts are already booked.

I do not know what kind of deal Dallas has, but I would like him to be a bit more clear as to what he is actually "booking".

I wrote to him privately about this as soon as I saw his post, but he did not take the time to write me back. I asked for clarification and told him that I would not bring it up publicly, but with no response it seems that the best way to get an answer is to ask here.

If you are a professional act or already a county or state fair entertainer and are interested in working this fair or others, you would probably be best to apply to the fair itself, who actually does the grounds and stage entertainment booking for the fair.

                      thanks Dallas for your clarification....

I wish whoever got the gig enjoys it.....

                        Clarification

my post was sent days ago and now just showed up after Dallas clleared it up, which is odd that it took so long to post....but thanks again for clearing up the role you are playing in the fair entertainment.

                          misleading?

I never mentioned anything about being exclusive. I even posted to clarify my portion of it.

Although the spot filled pretty quickly, I am also contracted to bring "street" acts to SEVERAL other major events in the SouthEast this Spring/Summer.

Anyone who sent info will be considered for my other events, thank you.

Guys, I apologize for the confusion. That was partly my fault due to the timing of validations.

                              Hello again

After rereading your email, I thought it a good idea to contact you again.

I am in Florida and am still interested in your fair in louisiana. I would enjoy hearing from you
