My name is Danielle Bracco, I am a Westfield, NJ resident and I’ve been working with the Family Readiness Coordinator of the 102nd Cavalry / National Guard (these are not Westfield Soldiers – they just report to the Westfield Armory – they are from all over New Jersey). We are organizing a Back From Iraq Parade & Celebration on Saturday November 14 for the group of Soldiers that returned from Iraq in June 2009.
The Town Council and Chamber of Commerce have given us their support. The brochures will be distributed throughout the Westfield school system next week. We hope to expand to surrounding area schools within the next few weeks. NJ 101.5 will be at the event. The New Jersey Nets have given us their support by purchasing the back cover of the ad journal.
We are trying to get as many surrounding area Residents / Businesses involved as possible to make this celebration a HUGE success. I’ve attached the information regarding the event. There are game sponsorships and ad journal advertisements available.
I am also writing to ask maybe you would consider donating an hour or so of your time at the event. You would be able to hand out any of your promotional items and you would also be given a listing in the ad journal.
