We just did a similiar event in the same location (Indiana Jones shooting kick-off celebration) for this group and are going back to do the street performing as mentioned below July 14th.

Brian is very nice and helpful and dealt well with the many things going on. They got us bottled water and electrical power, and dealt with us shipping in equipment a few days early. Easy parking 100 yards from the pitch.

Hat pass was good - we got in four shows, the first two were very strong, the third decent, and the last one we only did the show because I had a friend there, but that was our call and we weren't pressured to do more shows than we wanted to.

There is a large inquisitive local denizen quotient, but they were generally nice and we never felt threatened. The audience was a mix of families and college students, but almost everyone tipped and about 75% gave multiple bills. Our first two shows had upwards of 300 in the audience, and the audience grew substantially as the show went on, so a long show is good. Lots of grass for the audience to sit on.

We were well-publicized, and a lot of people turned up right on time to see our show specifically as well as to be at the event as a whole.

The event we did was a one-off on a Tuesday night, so I'm betting that the ongoing concert series on Saturdays draws a much bigger crowd. They had about 3-5000 people there for a Tuesday night event that isn't a tradition, so I definitely support Brian's attendance figures for their concert series that is a yearly thing all summer long.

Brian asked lots of good questions and is interested in making this a worthwhile gig. Especially if you are touring through the area or already on the East Coast, I'd recommend it.
