Street Performers Wanted
Who: The Calgary Fringe Festival
What: The Calgary Fringe Festival includes 18 outdoor street performers, 54 independent film productions, 36 indoor theatre groups, 15 visual artists, and 200 vendors.
Where: Calgary’s busiest pedestrian street – 17 Avenue S.W. – better known as ‘The Red Mile’. The festival hub is Tomkins Park with satellite locations for our indoor theatre venues. Programming and activities are scheduled along 17 Avenue from 11 Street to 4 Street, and along Stephen Avenue (8 th Avenue).
When: August 11 - 20, 2006 We need to know the dates you are available, length of your show, show description and a press kit if you have one.
We can offer you:
o 2 – 3 guaranteed scheduled shows a day o Food and festival perks
o Lodgings for 4 performers still available – after we fill up, we still have room to get you a billet
o $50 a day for 3 – 45 minute shows plus you get 100% of your hat
o Limited number of spots available

The Calgary Fringe Festival will run August 11th - 20th in the heart of Calgary's cultural corridor - 17th Avenue S.W; along with a presence along Stephen Avenue and Olympic Plaza. This artistic event will feature raw and innovative local, national, and international theatrical productions alongside street performers, musicians and outdoor stage events. As they have done for over fifty years, Fringe Festivals around the world continue to foster an atmosphere of spontaneity and collaboration, and we're excited to bring this ongoing artistic legacy to Calgary, showcasing our tremendous arts and business communities.
