European Juggling Convention Street Performance Competition

Apologies, but this event has had to be cancelled due to budgetary restrictions on the part of the SPWC team.

The EJC is going ahead of course, it's just the street performance competition that has been cancelled.

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Helen
    EJC Team

This year's European Juggling Convention takes place in the Green Glens Arena, Millstreet, Co Cork, Ireland from July 9th - 15th - less than an hour's drive from Killarney, which is holding its Summerfest at around the same time.

As part of our programme, we are collaborating with the organisers of the Street Performance World Championships, which will be held in Dublin on August 5th & 6th.

At the EJC, we will host a competition, where the winner (possibly more than one) will win a chance to compete in the Street Performance World Championships. Heats (5 mins per performer) will take place on Wednesday 12th July, and finals, with full shows will take place on Thursday 13th July. This qualifier competition is not a paid gig, but performers are welcome to hat. The qualifiers will take place onsite at the EJC, so a ticket will be required for access to the site.

The winners will then take part in the Street Performance World Championships on August 5th & 6th in Dublin. They will receive a €1,000 performance fee for SPWC, as well as accomodation, and their hat.

      Try Again

Couldn't you get a sponsor-Guinness or other, ? to pay for it? They would sell plenty of drinks

Cancellation was a last resort option when we discovered that we just couldn't make it work. There was a serious change of circumstances on the part of SPWC, which happened too late to secure a sponsor for this, as it is just 4 weeks away.

We're really disappointed as we were looking forward to this element of our programme, but unfortunately we don't have the resources to save it now
