Hello everyone. We are in need of a target girl for a professional knife thrower based in Rhode Island, USA. This is a continuous running gig with shows every couple weeks. There is PAY for the right girl. Here's what we are looking for in an ideal target girl: Between 5' tall and 6' tall, slender figure, preferably owns belly dance or similar costumes, MUST be over 21 years old and not be afraid to have knives thrown around her. All applicants MUST sign a waiver of liability before becoming part of the show. Rehearsal time must also be available perfereably at least twice a week to start.

Our knife thrower is a 2 time world champion who has also taught some of the best in the business. His previous target girl has retired to open her own business and we need a girl NOW.

Shows include night clubs, Ren-faires, theme parks, etc... Must be willing to travel.

Please send headshots/resume's via email to: Helpwanted@sescarny.com

If you do not have a resume that is alright, but we do need headshots/full body shots, preferably in costume.

We will respond to you asap as we need a target girl immediately. Thanks for checking this out and we hope to hear from you soon.

        Careful, those are sharp!

They are very vague about who this "2 time world champion" is. If you were going to risk your body wouldn't you want some kind of link to this guy's site or something???
I'd be afraid... very afraid - but I'd still watch!

But it could look cool on my resume.

              OR my epitaph!

              It's a win/win!!

...too bad I don't have a belly dancer costume. All I've got is an old winter coat and some Christmas tree tinsel.
Well, maybe I WILL just keep telling myself that.

When you look at me, do you think, "Target Girl"?

                  Hmmm...

                  Ok.....

                  Where do I start...

                  What if....
                  Let's say....
Let's say (just "let's saying") I went and applied for this position thinking, "this could be interesting", knowing that I'd never be considered because I'm nowhere near RI and don't have plans to be. What if I simply wanted to see if I could get the job? ...not as a joke, but out of curiosity. Knowing, of course, that I couldn't take a full-time position like this anyway because it would mess with my career and filmic plans.
Now, what if I currently had an e-mail reply in my in-box inquiring if I'm interested in a six week gig at Six Flags, Chicago?
Now I am ever-so intrigued. ...Wait. I mean, I would be. If this had happened. Yeah yeah. That's the ticket. ...IF this had happened.

I might be thinking about it.
I could possibly have many questions for him.

This has potential to be an interesting experience (remember that I'm not one of you guys. I'm still an "outsider looking in". And now matter what I do, I'll probably always feel that way. This isn't a normal part of life within my chosen field. People like me sit at desks. ...well, people like me sit at desks and go insane.)

                  Opinions?
Well, maybe I WILL just keep telling myself that.

That settles it. I'd take the job if only for that. I can't afford my own soda and candy.

I've asked him a bunch of questions. I shall wait for response.

...time to hot glue some tinsel to a moldy squirrel pelt coat.

I've decided against the target girl position.
It's causing too much tention in my family and I'd like to save us that fight.
I'll just have to figure out another way to ease my way into this world. ...Like, I dunno, maybe a.... documentary of some sort??!??!

                            Target Girl Needed

Hello everyone. I had posted about needing a target girl.

To Magic Brian: The two time world champion I am speaking of is Harry Munroe from Rhode Island. You should know who Harry is, since he taught Throwdini, also from NY.

To Rachel: No worries if you do not want to take the job. I am interested to know though who emailed you about Six Flags in Chicago as I know the booker for that park very well and I will also be working there this Oct.

Harry is still in need of a target girl. To explain what happened with his last TG, she just didn't want to do it anymore. She wanted to move on to something else for a job, probably something with a more steady paycheck. He still needs a girl though for the act, so if anyone is interested, just drop me a line as I'm helping him find a TG: Helpwanted@sescarny.com

                            Take care,

                            Ses Carny

Oh, I was talking with Mr. Munroe about Six Flags Chicago, although the gig hadn't been finalized yet.

Still a little bummed that I can't do it.

                              over and out.
