Your search for medieval entertainers

You'll do best to post on alt.fairs.renaissance and/or the other Ren Fest boards, to seek entertainment for your event.

Good luck getting professional entertainers for "reduced fee" or busking (passing the hat) only.

Contact John Davis, the new entertainment director of Great Lakes Medieval Faire, AFTER they open the festival (July 8) to ask for recommendations of local Ohio people who might be interested in going to WI.

Poop heads

I applied for this. I sent them a reminder e-mail. I have never heard back from them. They can't be too desperate.

Hahaha: "poop heads"!

Don't worry about it too much... their event isn't until the fall. Most minor events don't have a sense of contract-scheduling; even some larger events have some issues with this also.

If this WI event is new, they may not have any idea how to run an event, continue with contacting/contracting, even know how to budget whatsoever. A "performer" who has never run an event-business before may not have all the normal ducks in a row as would a more experienced event. They aren't desperate - yet. They may even not have their location permits yet -- who knows?

I'll guess that the posting for entertainers was just "trolling" for interested people so they can contact in their own timetable.
