I say, any performer who responds to a gig or festival post with an application, should have to do 50 pushups or something. They're obviously not paying attention and so why should any festival or event organizer want to hire them?
It states very clearly in the PERFORMERS READ THIS thread.

Post a gig, don't try to get a gig...
