loads of places in the states to work. just travel around and buy the local papers in whatever two bit town you in and find out when a local festival is on.
its easy.
failing that, I know that plenty of towns have pitches, many are listed in these forums under
"where to work in the states" or something
but there are heaps more, just start performing and never ask permission. theyll only say no.
