Street Performers Needed for MLB All-Star Weekend

Update***Still need a few more performers...if interested, please e-mail. Thanks!

The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is July 12th 2005 in Detroit, Michigan. I represent the Greektown Merchant's Association which is a busy entertainment District located only three blocks from the site of the game at Comerica Park. We have over 40 restaraunts, shops, and a Casino in a three-block area in downtown Detroit. There will be events from July 8th through game day of July 12th, including the Fan Fest, All Star Sunday, and the Home Run Derby. There will easily be several hundred thousand people downtown for each day of the events, of which we will be the entertainment center. We are seeking Buskers/Street Performers to enhance the entertainment and draw people to our already busy area during the entire four days of events. Please contact me at jpasko@greektowncasino.com
Either e-mail me your website and/or promo materials, or you can send me your info at: Jason C. Pasko

I have signed on for this. I grew up in Detroit and if a busking event is going to work in Detroit, Greektown is going to be the place.
I can only do the last three days because of doing Orangeville, in fact it seems everyone they have lined up can only do the last three.
Its always scary doing a new event last minute, but if anyones on the fence my vote would be call the guy and give it a shot.
It HAS to be better than Chicago!

Good Dan, I was scared I might be going it alone.
If nothing else, Assuming you havent been around down town detroit, I can show you some sights. Like the Joe Lewis memorial, a giant fist hanging in the middle of an intersection!
And we of course can hit the Hockeytown Cafe, a Red Wings resteraunt meusem kinda thing. unless not having hockey for a year has made you change your ring tone?

Oh no no, in fact, Thom, it's made me play more hockey! We've started a street hockey league here in Winnipeg, and it's been quite well attended... The ring tone is still the same, naturally.

The only reason I won't be there is if Jason (the contact) doesn't get me my work papers in time, but I will certainly if that paperwork goes through. I'm hoping it does. And yeah, we'll definetly have to have a meal or two at the Hockeytown cafe.

          Hope to see you soon!

Hey, I am going to be in Orangeville on Friday and Saturday too and then I am going to Detroit for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I am still waiting for the papers to arrive from Jason too. The poster flyers look great though. I'll see you guys there!
