    Need to hire a bellydancer/aerialist/contortionist...

    Need to hire a bellydancer/aerialist/contortionist...

...For a gig at a Ren Faire in Pennsylvania, one weekend August 13-14 (plenty of time to get to Burning Man, if you're going, don't worry!)

It IS paid, although we haven't finalized negotiations yet so I can't say how much just yet. However we can't pay for travel. There is one week of (unpaid) rehearsals near Pittsburg the week before (lodging is provided).

This is for a series of stage shows at the RenFaire, with the Accidental Circus. One is an aerials/contortion show. One is a group show with the whole circus with a little bit of everything. The other two shows are strictly belly dance, which there may be a couple of songs with group choreography but mostly solos.

SO, if you think you fit the bill, please contact me and we can talk further.

PS - not that we are looking for amateurs, but we aren't *necessarily* looking for high-end professionals either. The girl we are looking to replace (who can't make it that weekend) is pretty good, but not good enough to, for example, get hired by Cirque Du Soleil. For contortion, she does mainly forearm stands (rather than handstands) and her butt does not actually touch her head, she's just more bendy than most and can make it look difficult and pretty. So if you are still in training but have these skills, please still talk to us. If you are an extremely experianced professional, we welcome you too, just know that the pay is probably not what you might be used to getting.
