I will be coordinating the event for the Boardwalk Merchants Association.
I have worked this pith for the last 6 summers and can vouch that this is a VERY good pitch in those months. From Memorial Day thru Labor Day the Boarwalk is FULL of families and can be worked both Day and night. Hats are good.
As many of you know, I am also the Busker Coordinator at Sunsets at Pier 60 in Clearwater Beach and Busker Coordinator for Centro Ybor, Tampa.
This is a very good opportunity to work some of the best pitches in the Sunshine State!!!
Please feel free to call me with any questions (727) 734-0100Comment

burning bridges at both ends
Is "Big Daddy" still around?
I did the boardwalk in '76 during spring break and promised to pay him 10% of my hat ... I bailed on him ... if he's dead, I'd consider it.Comment

For the last 5 years the only performers have been myself and Checkers (Checker Doodle)
Dino is very nice to work with and is very performer friendly!!! He is one of the few that realizes the benefits of what "we" bring to the boardwalk and welcomes us with open arms.Comment

Thank you, Dallas, for your nice words. By the way, since someone asked, Carl Smith, a.k.a. Big Daddy, died 1 1/2 years ago, and will be well missed by people who come down for Bike Week, and many of his friends and families. However, back to Labor Day Weekend, feel free to contact Dallas since he will be in charge of the event. Thank youComment
