Street Performers/Busking competition in Melbourne Australia
Attention Street Performers, Musicians, Variety Artists, Magicians, Clowns, Jugglers etc:
$500 pitch prize and $1,000 first prize and pass the hat!

The City of Melbourne is hosting a Street Performers/Busking competition on Australia Day, January 26, 2004.
The event is part of the Australia Day Celebrations which last year were attended by more than 10,000 people last year, and this year the tennis is on as well, swelling the potential audience size.
The venue is Birrarung Marr, the busy and beautiful walkway on the south bank of the Yarra River, in a festival atmosphere.
There are 9 pitches available, 30 minute sets. You may pass the hat, and performer entrants will be judged by their peers.
You supply your act and any equipment needed, including amplification where necessary, there is no entrance fee.
You must perform at least once in your scheduled spot. Extra spots will be available on the day, first come first served. Pitch Winners must be available for a main stage play off at 4.00 pm
