    New guy

Just found the place yesterday, thought I should say hi.
I'm a bad guitar player with a lousy voice and write a few
    songs.
I work mostly at Church, mostly for free and mosly with my wife. We just started a monthy Nursing Home gig, mostly cause we like seeing people smile.

I live in very rural Southern Indiana and love to read about street performers in places I will never see.

    Jonathan Livingston, I presume?

    Hey New Guy ...

Welcome to pnet ... I'm an Old Guy ... I have many stories about people in places that you could still see if you don't mind abandoning your family and dealing with TSA delays.

Many years ago a young boy from Indianapolis came up to me while I was doing a show in Key West ... he asked me how to become a street performer ... he left Indiana the next year for Japan and since then has travelled all over the world doing my act (but better).

I was very happy to see him the last time I was in Japan because he started losing his hair.

I hope he has the sense not to put a tattoo on his skull.

That would just piss me right off.

      HEY seagull,,,,Welcome to the Forum.

Where abouts in southern Indiana are you? I'm in Sellersburg and I too play guitar and the Ukulele & Kazoo. Heck, we might be neighbors.

      Email me sometime

        Thanks for the welcome guys!

MW, we are not very far apart. I work in New Albany and live just up 64 in Marengo. Small world, maybe we can get together sometime and pick a little.

BM, I use to travel the world for a job I had, about eight years of it. I stick closer to home these days. But a man can still dream...

When I worked house keeping at the nursing home I used to have to clean finger painted Butterfly Man off the bathroom walls all the time.

                    *shudder*
Well, maybe I WILL just keep telling myself that.
