Hey Folks,
I am Steve Langley, aka Alfredo Fettucini, 1/2 of The Fettucini Brothers. Joined up a while back, shortly after learning of the group while working with TaxiTrix (Hey Karl) down at The Red River Revel in Shreveport, LA. Gotta admit, I have just been a lurker up until now. I have finally decided to come out of the woodwork, so to speak, as I have read a few threads that I may have something to contribute to. I know/have met a number of you. I attended Motionfest in 2004 and remember meeting a few of you there. Steve/Etienne, you gave me some great diabolo tips that made a huge difference for me. Thanks! At the risk of "preaching to the choir", I gotta say, Motionfest was a big creative and inpirational shot in the arm for me. I've been in "da show bidness" for going on 20 years now and it was good to know that an old dog can still learn a few new tricks. Not sure how many of you are in the Southeastern part of the US, but I am in Charlotte, NC. I hope to be able to give some insight and info into whatever is happening down in this neck of the woods. Although we "cut our performance teeth" as street performers, it has been a long time since we have busked for our living. These days we stay busy performing at festivals, fairs, corporate events, private parties, and small theaters. In the past, we have had some great years in NACA (the college market) as well as working on cruise ships. I currently have an infant at home so we have cut back a lot (for the time being) on both of those markets so that I can stay closer to home. Some things are just more important than my career, like being a Daddy who is home, sometimes. I look forward to being a part of this group. I also look forward to sharing knowledge and info with all of you.
Cheers!
