Dokterr, I am doing as I please...I could ask the same of you...what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be out there busy fighting crime? mailto:boobtopia@hotmail.comboobtopia@hotmail.com</a>

Plus, there's a wierd article in the Gambit Weekly about some official going to the Quarter with his wifey to spy on the "riff raff" (reminds me of the story of the king that was beggar for a day...reference Bliss by Peter Carey), the official went on to complain that he was bombarded by -people- asking him for money, funny! I've been complaining about coorporate and governmental advertising for years! And those people bombard me with requests for money and they aren't even offering a juggling act in return, nor are they starving! Heads up New Orleans, times are a changin'!

To Erim. Anywhere you perform in Turkey, if you get hassled, it's just a question of handing over a little "baksheesh" and you'll be okay. Read Stretch's post about how the guy in Russia handled the situation, and you'll see how it's done. I learned the hard way that you cannot beat the system, especially when it's a crooked system. We had our props "confiscated" at the Turkish border till we forked out a little cash, and again when we got off the train in Ankara.

Although it's severely against my principles and the customs of my birthplace (New Zealand) I found as I traveled the world that greasing the odd palm is the only way to get things running smoothly.
