    Uncle Freddy

This past year I have taken on more corporate work with the magic portion of my show and also found an interesting niche doing my fire and snake show along side "go-go" dancers in night clubs.

With the new baby - I have been sticking busker festivals and corporate work in Ontario.

My show involves the standard fair but uses a lot of magic to offset the standard juggling/unicyclist show.

This year I have been accused of:

" being the devil and doing the devil's work " for my fire breathing

    and the latest one:

" sending an anti-gay message to children " by wearing a pink shirt and hugging and not letting a male do up the straight jacket crotch strap.

    Aren't audiences terrific ?!?

    Happy New Year to Everyone!

Phil, are you really serious about that? Robert Heinlein once wrote "Never underestimate the power of human STUPIDITY" I guess thiat proves it.

" sending an anti-gay message to children " by wearing a pink shirt and hugging and not letting a male do up the straight jacket crotch strap."

I just realized that there was a typo there:

but to clarify.. it happened yesterday at a New Years Eve show and blew me away.

This is the way it went down...

I pulled two male and one female "volunteer" out of the audience to help tighten the straps on the jacket. I put my arm around the "tougher blue collar" male ( Jim ) and said " how do you feel stood up here in front of all these people beside a guy in a Pink shirt"

He says " pretty nervous "

I said " well you don't have to worry, it's not my shirt.... I borrowed it.... from my boyfriend " - I then rubbed my leg against his ( the kids roared - Jim is embarrased )

The audience laughs... of course the guys do up all the straps but the crotch strap which the girl ( Kelly ) was supposed to do up, but when the guy ( Jim ) ( now having fun and playing around ) grabbed for it, I moved away to allow the lady to do up the strap.

It is amazing a bit of fun can cause that type of reaction ! - no one else could believe it either. Looking back on it when the lady approached me and reprimanded me - I should have had a smart comment ready but I was just so taken aback by it, I looked at her puzzled.

      Take care

      Phil
