Trained fleas perform spectacular Circus Stunts As Seen Before and on top of the Crowned Heads of Europe. A 30 Minute Victorian Style Sideshow that recreates the ancient art of Psycho-Entomology. A Touring Performance.

My name's Adam, and I'm an actor, director, clown. I'm the boss clown, chief bottlewasher, and big cheese of the Acme Clown Company, which pretty much is me in my studio. I'm based in Providence, RI , and I do shows using popular theatrical traditions that amaze, educate, and entertain audiences of all ages. NO BIRTHDAY PARTIES!

I'm a graduate of Ringling, Dell'arte, Trinity Rep Conservatory, Univ. of Pennsylvania, Rhode Island College, the Weber Douglas Academy, and the Boston School of Bartending, making me one of the most educated clowns in America (barring certain elected officials)

I've done master classes with the likes of Dario Fo, Daniel Stein, Ctibor Turba, Bill Irwin, Avner the Eccentric, Fred Curchak, RonLin Foreman, and lots of other people. Despite all the education, I can't truly say it's made me a better performer. I'm a more informed performer. I still make lots of mistakes- just weird ones that no one else makes!

        Hey, Adam
I'm Peter Bennett, The GlassHarper, on the road out of New Orleans. I'm on the Kenai
Peninsula of Alaska right now, heading for the "spit" in Homer, AK, hopefully to busk there.

On my way thru L.A. several weeks ago I picked up the Sunday paper and in the "Living" section was a great article about one of my heros, Bill Irwin. He's doing
(or did) a show there -- [SENIOR MOMENT HERE] a series of short pieces by ???? as a stage show -- I wish I could have stopped, but I had a deadline for the Alaska Sea Highway ferry out of Bellingham, WN, & had to push on. I've never seen Bill in person, but I've got to believe he puts on a fantastic show! How fortunate that you got to study with him!

Best regards from Alaska and New Orleans!

I'm embarking on a slightly different adventure the next few months... I'm publishing a book! I got a grant last year to write a book called Rhode Island A to Z -- It's a coloring/learning book all about my home state of (you guessed it) Rhode Island.

Anyhow, we are publishing it ourselves, so I'm going to spend the next few months trying to get it placed in stores, the airports, etc.

You can find out more about the book at

Rhode Island A to Z is a coloring/learning book about Rhode Island. From quahogs to johnnycakes, from Block Island to Woonsocket, this beautifully illustrated book gives its readers hours of coloring fun, as well as fascinating facts about our nation's smallest state.

And if you want, you can even order it there (online!)

Figured I'd update with a little more info. Things have been going well. I was the official clown of the Newport Artists Ball (High Society Hijinks!)

I continue to do my flea circus, and work as a clown. My next thing is working on a series of Puppet Tragedies. I already do the Barbie Oedipus, and I'm currently creating the Vegetable MacBeth.

Here's a picture of me as a clown taken not so long ago....
