performers.net - OVERALL SITE WISH LIST...

Hey everone,

It's that time of year again and I'm going to start working on a performers.net site renovation. I have dozens of ideas for new features and several plans that are in motion right now, but I'm wondering if there's something I forgot about.

Please post your ideas of things you'd like to see here at performers.net. (Not just forum features, but site features, as well.) I'll get to work on it.

On the subject of moving useful posts to the library, is it possible to have a "Nominate for Library Inclusion" button in the forum interface? Posts receiving more than x nominations would be copied to Jim or his designated lackey, who would approve the good ones, edit as needed, and post to the library?

You could probably set something up to automatically copy posts to the library, but that could get messy really quickly without a human figuring out general classification systems. Another option would be to have a "Nominate for Library Inclusion" pull-down menu, where the nominator would choose from various library categories, but then you run into problems when the same post gets nominated for multiple categories. I think a human has to be in there somewhere.

An improved search engine for the forum would be nice. Searching messages for particular keywords now is incredibly time consuming and doesn't even seem to work well at all...
Also, being able to search and display all the messages from particular user could be handy. (I never figured out how to find out a 'registered user number'...

Pyro, you can do this already....

1. Click the "Profile" icon above a person's post. (That's the first icon, with the face.)
2. On the member profile page, there's a link in the upper right area of the page called "View recent posts" which will display the last 50 posts of a member.
