    Images in Signatures

Ok folks, I've turned on the "images in signatures" feature.

No you can add vB code to your signatures, including the vB image tag. vB code is explained here.

All you need to do is:

Go to your profile page and add the appropriate image code to the signature box.

Then post a message and make sure you check the "Show signature" box before submitting the message.

Just be sure the image file is uploaded to your server and make a direct link to it using the entire URL. Either .gif or .jpg files are supported.

This is the maximum size image I will allow in your signature:

If anyone posts anything larger, I'll delete it. And of course SMALLER images are always appreciated.

    Keep these things in mind:
    Less is More
    Clutter is Bad
    Blinking Animated Gifs Are Hideous

If this gets out of hand and I get too many complaints, I only need to hit one button to turn this feature off, so use it responsibly.

    Thanks... and have fun.
    Jim!

I don't know if the singature photos are going to be there when you're reading this, but seeing Martin, Chance and Scot as a devil in a row like that was rather startling.

Scot, I'm working on a new one. I just put that up as a test.

              Folks working on their images:
It is possible to make your images .gif files with transparent backgrounds so they'll look good and blend in with whatever color they're on top of. You can do it in Photoshop 5.5 really easily.

              Just an FYI.

              Jim
