    Avatars?

Hey Jim, It would be really cool to be able to use Avatars on the board. Ever considered it? It would kinda add a personal, visual image in the space below our user names in the left colum. The site below is another fourm I participate in (a total geek site!)That forum uses simple Avartars and GIF's too. I remember reading no GIF's somewhere but how about logos and such.

Things look and work great-Good job dude, thank-you for all your hard work!
    P.s. I can't find the spell check???

This system doens't support Avatars. I know there's a hack I could put in, but I personally feel they just clutter up the place and slow things down.

Posting of images is permitted within messages using UBB code. And I would let people post a small image within their 'signatures' if anyone else wants to try it. Back in the beginning, there were a few people doing it and they didn't know what they were doing and actually posted GIANT images that messed up the formatting of the pages.

I'd be willing to allow it on a trial basis if I get another request.

P.S. No spell check on this new system either. I know a lot of people had problems with it and the UBB people decided to cut it out on version 6.

They actually cut out a lot of baggage from the old system. This thing runs in about one third the space on the server. And there's a cacheing system so everything runs faster.
