stacking rolla bolla cylinders

For the past few years I've been working off and on on the 5 cylinder rolla bolla.

I've got it using PVC cylinders and want to get aluminum.

Jugglart.com in australia makes a set that is frakking expensive and has a rubber gasket on the spacers. They're emulating the unicycle/voltige PVC rollas like I have but doing it in alu.

Has anyone used these?

does the gasket help in aluminum or is aluminum to aluminum better?

Does anyone have any experience in this or am I in unexplored territory here?
