Hi everybody,
There may be a thread about this already, so point me in the right direction if there is, but if not, can you give me some advice?
In our show, we do a super fast Lindy Hop routine. As some of you know, my dance partner Mike is well over 6 feet tall, and I'm flipping over him again and again, landing from that height.
I used to be able to just tape my feet and deal with concrete or (yikes!) cobble stone, but I'm wondering what other people do, specifically tumblers and acrobats, when street performing on less-than-ideal surfaces? I've developed a chronic foot injury (bone bruising) that's making me rethink things.
We performed with some acrobats who put down a rug, but that won't work for us, as the fast turns and footwork would just cause knee problems on a rug.
Thoughts? Thank you!
