Samson Airline Mic US/Canada Frequency issues AND New 'n' frequencies

Not sure thi is the right area, but....
    Techy question
I have an old Samson Airline bought in the UK running frequency 863.120MHZ
It works fine in the UK and did in Dundas and Montreal 2 years ago, but when I tried using it in Kingston and Windsor it came in and out with distortion. I was told it was probably from frequency interference. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know whether the samson has different frequencies in the US and Europe and what about the rest of the World (Ive never had problems in Australasia)
So anyway ive ordered another one from the US and Samson are now producing a new 'n' range of frequencies - something to do with the new digital stuff happening on 2011
Anyways my question is. I can pick my channel from either the US U1-6 which appear to be around U1: 801.375 MHz
    U3: 803.125 MHz
    U4: 803.750 MHz
    U6: 804.750 MHzor the new 'n' frequencies
or the new 'n' frequencies which are Ch. N1 (642.375MHz)
    Ch. N2 (642.875MHz)
    Ch. N3 (644.125MHz)
    Ch. N4 (644.750MHz)
    Ch. N5 (645.500MHz)
    Ch. N6 (645.750MHz)
I obvioulsy want soemthing that isnt going to be obsolete in a few years but would ideally would like to use the U4 as have can buy one of the smaller 'micro' receivers for it.
I also of course want something thats not going to give me these internationallf different frequency interferance problems
    ANY advice?
    Thanks

the interference at Kingston was from the other performers with the same mic. Byron and Dan Show were totally killing each other in one show I watched, and they both have the samson airline. It probably won't be as much of a problem at most other festivals where they don't have 5 shows going at all times.
The reality is that the airline product was designed for aerobic instructors who aren't around other people using wireless mics. If you don't mind having a body pack, you should look into the sennheiser ew100 series mics because you can change the channel they are broadcasting on.

I can't tell ya which frequency to choose... pick the one none of the other performers around you are using.

    good luck

Thanks Evan. Unfortunately I dont think its just about other performers using the same mic. The sound guy where I hired the mic from said it was probably something to do with the different frequencies used here and in Europe
Anyways im going for the new 'n' frequency range which is in the 600's not the 800's

Could be a lot of things that have nothing to do with frequency, and frequency would be the last thing I would check for. Sweat damage, droppage or other shocks, dirt & dust, etc., etc. Loose wires, bad cables, bad mic head, misc. motherboard damage, the list goes on. Best to have it checked out by an authorized service center.

those were my 1st thoughts too
but when I went to the music/instrument store they said frequency issues
Maybe I get it checked out and see
          Thanks Chance
