I went to a shop in a mall in Bangkok, bought a Belkin sport command for my ipod. It didnt work. Then went and tested the other 3 in stock, all out of the box, didnt work. So I settled for an ezclick from Monster. Its working great for my needs.

            Hey Guys,
I have an easy solution to have a wireless MP3/Ipod or whatever.
What I did is to simply add a mini-jack plug on my wireless mic, that allow me to ad any player on my mic HF chanel. So that i can control my music on myself !
My father (sound ingenier) did it, he just open my mic plug, and add a mini-jack on it !
So when i plug my mic to the HF transmitter, it also ad my ipod. Everything is fix on my belt and i control my music very easily !

I have been using the DigiSelect show management system for about a year now and it does just about everything the MP3 tech does at a much lower cost and uses a presentation remote to change songs, lighting and effects.

If you have a laptop You can also just embed songs in a powerpoint and use a Presentation remote for an easy low cost solution. by doing this you can costomize each slide to show you what act/song you are on and what is next.

                    remotes

I had my remote stolen(Monster IEZClick) and I replaced it with the IJet. Although the range of the IJet is further, I just re-ordered the IEZClick from Monster.

I've never heard anyone refer to their transmitter as "HF" before.

Have you ever been to France ? Maybe it's a local thing.
I know some sound techs use the general term 'high frequency'(hf)to lump 'very high' (vhf)and 'ultra high'(uhf) frequencies together in a category that I guess is anything above 'fm'.

it must be a regional thing, it just kind of stuck me as odd. I guessed that he meant High Frequency, but just wasn't sure becuae I'd never heard anyone use that term before. We never really say anything other than "transmitter" here, honestly, it's a little redundant to say anything else, if you think about it. All mics use a high frequency transmitter, and even saying "UHF Transmitter" is a bit redundant, because you shouldn't be bothering with a VHF system anyway, I think they've even stopped making them, because they're such crap. But different countries have different tech, too.

Aw man i'm going through so much bullshit with the monster remote at the moment.

I would not recommend dealing with this unethical company.

I brought the eziClick Remote from a store only to bring it home to find out it does not work at all out of the box. I replaced the battery and still nothing.

So i emailed their customer support and this is the reply i got:
                              Hello Jane,
Thank you for taking time to contact Monster Cable E-mail Customer Support.
The iEZClick is not compatible with the iPod Classic 80GB.
Please feel free to contact Customer Support on 1 877 800 8989 if you need further assistance.
                              Monsterously!!

Hrmm, that was news to me. So i have repeatedly looked over all of the packaging, documentation and the monster web site and no where can i find any thing that mentions that it is not compatible with the iPod classic, actually the product is marketed as "made for iPod".

So basically this unit does't work with most modern iPods and monster seem happy to let people waste their money on a product that is never going to work for them.

Stay away from the monster remotes.

Any one else have a recommendation for a wireless remote that will work with the classic.

                                That's their business model.
CBC Marketplace did an expose on Monster cables, testing the data sent and received from one end of the cable to the other and came up with the exact same results as cables that cost a 10th of the price.

What do you call someone who spends tons of money on things just for the status of the name?
