    ceramic spinning plates

    hey there
does anyone know anything about this act?
a friend and I are busy smashing plates at the moment and wondering if there is a certain age old way we should be going about this.

What sort of stick? How long/thick? Is it gimmicked at all?
What sort of plate? Diameter that is best? Is it gimmicked at all?

Plates with a rim around the underside are prefered by some. I know one act that gets them from ikea quite cheaply. Some cloth tape placed in the centre on the underside helps considerably.
Wooden dowel or metal sticks, or even fibreglass tent poles can be used, around 8mm thick with a point. 1m in length is good for the flex and wobble.
