Amp Can Modification

I want to open up my Fender Amp Can and put an extra output power source for my mic receiver.
I've got the parts, a circutry map of the inside of my amp, and the balls to stick some wires in new places and hope it doesn't fry both amp and reciever when I turn it on for the first time.

Anybody done it before and have a good way to describe exactly where the connection points go for the black/red wires?

Here are the technical parts I'm looking at in the circutry map - Charger & Power section:
Should the wires go on the charger (triangle #8) or next to the power switch (triangle #9) with the division for Red (WJ3) and Black (WJ4)?

Its too easy to bring a power supply for your reciever.
I just attached each wire to the corresponding + - connection directly to the battery connections. Very simple, no soldering neccessary - had no troubles.

My Butt's always mighty fine mate - youve seen my show!!! Its the ribs that were screwed!! and no they still hurt, but healing slowley - wasnt helped by flights, Glastonbury shows and liquid mud!! But wouldnt have changed it for the world.

I failed to mention that I currently am using a portable battery - which is 6lbs! It is killing me to carry around - and keeps tipping the scales for overage fees packed in my checked luggage.
I've been searching everywhere to find a lighter one - in many different cities. Radio Shack, Home Depot, Walmart, Car parts stores... and no one has a small portable +/- battery.
I had a small one last year. Got it from Gorilla Surplus on Queen St. in Toronto.

But that's why I was thinking the ampcan mod was they way to go because, really, even a small battery is just one more thing to carry around.

try hobby stores that sell radio controlled cars and stuff, or home alarm stores, or surprise surprise, battery stores. sealed lead acid 'gell cells' are the ones to get. between 5-7 amp hours should be good for an amp can.

Figure about a pound in weight for every amp hour of capacity. + or -. More exotic
lithium , NMHI etc weigh less and cost more.
