    Hey Chris-

Don't know much about your editing software (since I'm a PC person), but the one I use has separate tracks for audio and video. Both are lockable.

So, what I do is get the segment I want, lock the audio track, delete the video track, and then render what's left.

If you want to turn it into an MP3, download the trial version of GoldWave; it will allow you to convert the file.

Hope that's of some help. Talk to you soon.

        converting files for Mac...

Quicktime Pro should do that with no problems. It's a $30 purchase, but it works good when converting all sorts of files from one format to another. It's worth the money if you are a Mac person. IMHO.

          Nevermind...

I apoligize for giving false info...I realized right after I sent that last post that I misread you inquiry. I thought that I read "How do you convert a .wav file when you actually asked how to convert a .wmv file. Not sure how to do that. I am a Mac user and I use with the free version of Windows Media Viewer to view .wmv files.
          Sorry,
          Alfredo

Chris - what program are you using?
Well, maybe I WILL just keep telling myself that.

              I'm not the Mac Daddy

              Thanks to all!

Have found a li'l program called EasyWMA which does the trick.

Was s'prised to find that Final Cut wouldn't import it (and yet not, as wmv's are fer Windows).
