Anyone know the best fuel to use for torches in Europe, specifically Vienna, Austria (a brand name would help)?

colman
Colman is available in the countries I have performed, but in different size bottles than the states.
It is, in my opinion, the best fuel for torches and fire stuff in general...but being the butterfly man you probably new that already.
most of Europe sells the 1 liter bottle from about 3.50 Euro
the U.K. sells it soooo expensive and I have not figured out why its so expensive and such small bottles.

best fuel for torch juggling in europe is lamp oil. In german, that's 'fuckeln ol' the 'o' should have 2 dots above it and you pronounce like 'ool'
I'm not kidding about fuckeln either. that word has given me good comedy material.
your juggling torches are also called fuckeln. 1 fuckel,2 fuckeln.
You can also get grill fuel for the bbqs.
both are odourless, but the grill fuel smokes a bit more.
you can get it at hardware stores or some supermarkets.
baumaxx, obi, and bauhaus are the main hardware stores in vienna, not really close to the centre, but the underground system is very good.
one brand name is farmers, but there are several others.
when you going to be there?
I'm 400km south in zagreb croatia, care to come and visit?
just realised that it's spelt 'fackeln' but sounds like fuckeln.Last edited by gav; Sep-06-2005, 10:42 AM.Comment

C or K or E or...
spell check - spell check - spell check...I think I got it...thank you Dr. Eric for making making me realize my spelling error...now that tourism in S.F. is slowing down perhaps you can spell check everyone's posts.
Butterfly's son's name also begins with a "K" I believe...but in the end does it really matter???...my comment on fuel's I believe was still understood by all.Comment

Petroleum is the same as kerosine. I found it in Germany, not Austria though. Should be the same thing, go to Obi (38 stores in Austria) or Hornbach (11 stores). Both stores are in Austria as well. Hope this helps. Both websites are listed before, in German of course though.
Hornbach's website:
Obi's website:
