Does anyone know anything about boomarangs? I am looking for some I could throw over an audience possibly juggling them. Is their anyone who does this? What boomarang would be good for this?

Building cross-stick boomerangs is very easy, and the work quite well for indoor use. However, you will still need a fair amount of space for any wooden model - even light wood rangs will circle a basketball court sized path.

Best trick ever seen with a boomerang was by one of the
Australian champions who'd put an apple on his head a la
William Tell, and throw one which would come back and split
the apple to smithereens.
Really impressive but highly wind dependant.
The most accurate ones are for the sport users mainly
in the states and here.Comment

Im Learning
Ive bought four different types of boomerangs and have a few more ordered. The two problems I am having is that they all fly a lot farther than I expected and its far more difficult to get them to come back than I thought it would be. Yes Zoobie you can throw them away getting them to return accurately is the trick. I am still looking for any help I can get. I am having fun learning to throw them and will post again if I ever get good enough to put one in my show.Comment

I met a guy years ago named Gary Broadbent, a serious boomerang collector, maker and fanatic. He makes one called the Backyard and has a pretty short travel distance, perfect for gymnasiums. And it's super easy to throw and catch. You can get them here:
In the description is says that is travels 10-15 feet before returning, which very inaccurate. It's short but not that short. The cool thing about them is that you can "tune" them by bending the blades allowing you to throw two at the same time with the same hand with one traveling a low route and the other a high route.
Good luck!
