does any one have any cheap sources for these?

you should pay about 4-5 dollars a bag for the 100 balloon packs and about 10-12 for the 250 balloon packs, see which one it is that you are buying. The larger bag never sold for so little, at least not in the past 10 years.

Best supplier for balloon decor, twister, balloon artist, face painters, and magicians. Qualatex, Betallatex, Wolfe paint, Mehron, Paradise, Proknows

these guys have them at around that cost.

        Is that the best type?

        Hi

Is that the best type of balloon to order (Qualtex 260q) for balloon twisting for 250 kids for a 4 hour event?

How many should I order? 750 balloons? 1000 balloons?

Thank you so so much for any help! I've never been hired to *only* do balloon twisting.

In the past I've done yoyo shows & bubble shows. This is the first all-balloon twisting gig I've ever done (and probably the last too).

        Many thanks,

            Jeep,

I realize you probably don't know me. So I'll introduce myself.

I did yoyo shows for about 20 years. After that, I started adding things to my show like bubbles, plate spinning, violin-foolery, balloon twisting...

I got hired from that to do strictly bubble-shows. I've done those now for about 5 years.

I tried to retire about 6 years ago. About 5 years ago, someone called me & said, "I want you to do an all-bubble show for my (very large scale city event) and I argued with her saying, "i don't do that." " She argued back. Met every crazy demand I threw at her, and hence, I started doing bubble shows.

Someone else called me about 6 months ago and seriously wants me to balloon twist at her large event.

It's been so so so so so long since I had to buy balloons. Last time I bought them, it was at MotionFest or when Al's Magic Shop in D.C. was still open. I bought balloons at both places. I haven't been to MotionFest in 5+ years now. I would totally have gone every year, except now I have 2 boys.

            Back on topic:

I will blow up my own balloons using my air pumps. I will twist the balloons by myself using my own hands.

Thankfully I have other performing friends (not on this forum) who have actually already stepped forward and graciously answered my question.

            Best wishes to you, Jeep

            -Jodi

balloon sculpture is a wonderful art and I have been doing it sense Christmas of 1985. I was only trying to help you and give you advice on the subject .I for sure did not want you to take on a job that you might not be able to do.As of reading your last post I'm positive you'll do just fine.If I can help you in any way with your art please ask. Jeep
              P.S. what is violin-foolery?
