At least thats what I know them as. The little plastic things with the streamers inside and when you pull the string it goes bang and shoots out the streamers.
They'll be an essential part of my new show, and I'm wondering if they are widely available in Canada and the US and if so, what do you call them. A lot of places seem to only be stocking the spring loaded version, but I really would prefer using the small pyro version.

I found them online too, but I'm more interested to know if you can buy them at shops like walmart or other department stores or even supermarkets.

Just go shopping

Anywhere that stocks kids party supplies might have them. Toy shops, stationary shops, supermarkets, basicly anywhere you might think would sell paper party hats.
I remember searching for them and finding them fairly quickly in Perth. (sewed them all over my costume and bundled the threads so they all exploded at once for a new years gig)
