video editing software

Can anyone recommend video editing software to run on a Windows platform? (Yes, I know Mac is better...)

I've been very satisfied with Pinnacle Studio 8. It is easy to learn, reasonably versitile, and not too expensive.

One drawback is that it will not render video in Quicktime format, but there is other software available that will convert it.
