Cute cursors- Are they safe?

I would like to put a fun trailing cursor on my site. I installed the software in preparation for adding the cursor, but have the feeling it's tracking everything I do on the Internet. Is it really spyware?

If it is comet cursor then yes, check out http://www.cexx.org/adware.htm, that's a pretty complete list of spy- and adware. Besides, my opinion is eye candy that just takes extra time for your page to download just kind of pisses people off. There are plenty of other ways to make a page fun. What is your site's url anyway?

Yeah, it's Comet Cursor. It installed itself with no help from me while I was browsing their site. Only good thing about it is that it has stopped all popups.
I wanted to add the cursor to give people something to look at while my pages are loading, but I guess I'm going to uninstall the software and forget the cursor.
I don't have the site uploaded yet. I'm working on the Images right now. Will post you when I get the thing completed. Thanx for the info.
