union square San fran

Well Mayor Willie has given us a new Union Square. It's beautiful and well landscaped, but,not that friendly. It's so new it shines but the permit thing is almost too much.Once again art has become a crime. Even if you don't "Pass the hat" they will give you a ticket for just an open case with a buck in it.Love those S.F.P.D. I play Irish harp, now that's threatening! no wonder the homeless piss on this city so much. I love it here though. It's so damned wierd.
Funny thing is they had one of our own the famous Mark Shields at the opening ceremonies, as a reminder of it how used to be, never mentioned how it was going to be.thank you willie brown
It seems to me that this might be one of the real points of busking. To guarentee the continual freedom of expression. if we still have one.All of you old guys should feel lucky to have lived when S.F. when it was really, babalon by the bay.Perhaps us new guys can bring it back. But it's better than Oakland.
I think I'll just have my day in court.Let ya'll know how it turns out.ciao willie

Well, I have been out there for a couple of weeks now, being the only show there (Oh Paul Nathan made an attempt too), I think its by far the best place in the Bay area, i made friends with the cops , they seemed pretty decent, they just don't like loud stuff, but then its a common problem anywhere you go. It works relly good for me, its a Covent garden type pich, its great.
Apparently they do want you to have some kind of permit, but the system is not set up yet, we'll see.
