Headset Mics - Which is the best?

I've been looking at the Countryman headset mics and I'm wondering if anyone out there has experience with them.

Mainly, I'm looking at the super-small E6. Check it out here.

    Any thoughts?
    Any other suggestions?

Jim, phil depalo here...I currently use the isomax headset mic and would not change to any other headset mic or lapel mic for that matter. Mine was 230 new...the E6 is a bit more expensive but like you said smaller, and I would probably upgrade to that one eventually. The nice thing about them is they are light and small...other headset mics like the one from sure and audiotecnica are to big and bulky...I have never had a single feedback problem from my mic and system(sennheiser) and the sound quality is superb and clear and loud with littel adjustment to the levels. Also since I use it while street performing I find it cuts down on the wind noise and the bouncing when you move around, unlike a lapel which simply bounce on your shirt if you do stuff...so all in all I think it is an excellent choice...I could only assume the E6 is the same or better.

      'eh Jim,

The E6 is awesome! I had been using the Countryman Isomax for awhile
and was very happy with it. When I saw the E6 in a picture, I couldn't believe how small it was.

One great thing is that is only wraps around the back of your ear. I thought this might mean that it wouldn't stay on well but you can bend it too fit just right and it stays put. I'm always running around, jumping and spinning etc. and it's great. Every once in awhile if I'm really sweatin' big time it will tip down a little bit, but that's probably because I need to adjust it for a better fit.

Plus, of course it's so small. I've had many people who come up to me after the show who didn't even notice I was wearing a mic. I also forget I'm wearing it because it weighs virtually nothing. It makes wearing a headset totally non-distracting.

If there is a downside I would say that it might feedback a bit more than other headsets I've used. With the isomax I could stand right in front of my liberty and get no feedback. Not quite as good with the E6, so I have to be a little bit more carefull with where I put the speakers. This could be something adjusted with the reciever system and stuff though.

It's been very durable and the sound is awesome. I couldn't recommend it more highly. It's like a little secret because I've never seen anyone with one. Being used to the combersome headsets this thing is like being the captain of a spaceship it's so cool.

Good luck, hope you get one!

        Hey Jim-

Happened on what looks like a good price for an E6 at this website:
        Nothern Sound & Light -- Countryman E6

        Thought you might be interested.
