database software

Hi
does anyone ahve any recomendations for database software.
i want something that will keep mailing lists of agents, gigs, fees.
and also produce lists of outstanding monies. overdue payments etc.
just about everything i need to run my perfoeming life as a business.

What platform are you on?

I'm Mac based and I use Filemaker for everything. I don't do much accounting stuff, but for client lists, invoices, mailing lists, etc, Filemaker is TOTALLY customizable to do anything you'd need. And everything is relational so your client database can interact with your invoice database and so forth. I've used it from the start.

I'd recomend ACT!. It's not without its design flaws, but it is the industry standard, and it will do everything you need it to. I'm hopelessly disorganized and I'd be lost without it.
