    Help with video clip

Can anyone point me to a website where I can get instructions on transferring stuff from VHS on to my web page? Or is it not possible? My computer is set up to edit playlists etc. But I need to get the stuff on. Any help greatly appreciated. Kelly.

I just put our video on the web!

First you need to get the VHS to digital. You can pay a service to do it or use a digital camera and a "Firewire".

With a service, you take them the VHS tape and they give you a CD. Look in the phone book. Simple.

With the digital camera you connect your VCR to the digital camera (usually a SONY) then connect the digital camera to your computer and capture the video as an AVI file.

There are a lot of video editing programs out their once you have your tape turned into digital you turn it into the type of media you'd like i.e., quicktime, mpeg, real,etc... Contact me once you've gotten the digital version and I'll tell you the rest of the steps.

Unless others could use this advice, then I'll post it here.

    Good luck,

Thom, how about making a detailed essay on this process for the Library link?

        Chance,

I'm not much of a writer. If someone will agree to edit the crap I dare to call English, then I'll do it.
        Any takers?

All you'd have to do is correct punctuation and run-on sentences, I have a spell check.

OK, it's written. Who wants to edit?

It's time to put your money where your mouth is.

WARNING: It's two pages long and pretty boring!

          Any takers?!

It's in. Look for it in the library section - if it meets the strict standards of management.
