    Rope escapes

One of our performers is wanting to learn a bit about doing rope escapes. Can anyone point me in the direction of a few good resources?
    Thanks

Look up ' the secrets of the hundred feet of rope escape" or a similar title in a magic store.

Abbott's Encyclopedia of Rope Tricks for Magicians is a fine resource. Your local magic shop should have more resources on this topic. here's my local magic shop www.magicjugglershop.com Even better, if your town has an International Brotherhood of Magicians ring, or an SAM club or a magic club of any kind, pay them a visit. Most clubs like that are populated by old timers that need to pass on their skills before they die. At least the IBM here in Albuquerque is like that.

I am very lucky to be good friends with Bill Martin, who does an impressive Houdini chataqua performance. Impressive especially since he's in his 70's! In October we had a big show in a local park. I was MC and safety co-ordinator, handcuffing Bill and locking him inside a 55 gallon drum filled with water. Good times.
