I'm not sure if this is the right place for htis post.

I have an html Gear guestbook on my site. Does anybody know if there's anything that can be done about spam guestbook signings? I consistantly get spammed by the same person, with links to all sorts of sites. I go to my guestbook daily to see if I need to go deleting them one by one. I happens quite consistantly. Someone is working hard at their job of spammin'.
Any ideas on what I might be able to do?

happens to me too.
there are spam blocking guestbook scripts that you can use. Google it. they run as a page on your guestbook, not as a link to another server.

i havn't made the switch yet b/c I'm too lazy to figure out a way to preserve an copy of the 130 real posts I have. I get at least 20 hits from spammers a day.

If I ever meet a spammer in person I will break each one of their fingers indavidually in three places.

Thanks. I'll look into that. ...I'll probably have the same issue -- not wanting to individually carry over all the real posts. hmph.
