Google News - A customized view

Is everyone here familiar with Google News? It's a nice summary page of top stories in a variety of topics and it's available in about 20 languages.

So today I just noticed that they've added a "customized view" of the news. Not only can you delete and re-arrange the standard sections, but you can add customized "keyword" sections and Google will auto-generate a page of news for you using the keywords you suggest.

Take a look at the news page I just created here.

Every time you go back there, Google updates the stories on the topics you suggested, drawing on thousands of news sources around the world. Neat!

    Google... When will they stop?

    Newsmaps

For those interested in interesting news formats check http://www.marumushi.com/apps/newsmap/newsmap.cfm

You can see a visual comparison of what headlines are reported from different media around the world as well as select the countries and sections (politics, entertainment) you want to view.

A drawback however is you need a fast connection and high resolution.

        maps

And Google Maps http://maps.google.com/ is way better then MapQuest, etc.
Type the address right into the search field and drag the map without reloading! Then input second address for directions. Sweet.
