Has anyone read Secrets of a Millionaire Magician? Is it any good? I have read all the free articles available (including the ones on p.net at http://www.performers.net/library/randy.html and enjoyed them. I guess what I am trying to ask is if the book is really worth $97 of my hard earned cash for the e-book verison without the pages of contact information. Is the contact information worth anything? Randy also advertises on his website that the Deluxe verison has 472 pages. Does anyone know how many pages in the book are actually information (not contact lists)? Thanks.

I've seen it in passing, a friend has the disk version.
You need advice? It has advice.
You need contact lists? Either buy the book or spend time collecting your own off the net.
start with
Samenwerken met theatergezelschappen, ontwikkelen van artistieke concepten en eigenzinnige programma’s voor festivals is onze ‘core business’.
You want free advice and marketing tips?
try
(the fuel for arts has masses of factual data rather than opinions)
(has australian and UK info)
In short my advice is to listen to people who are passionate about what they do unless what they are doing is marketing themselves at your expense.
I question why anyone who's a millionare needs $97 off a street performer.
And the 'deluxe' concept is pure marketing.
(my bro's worked for saachi and saachi the last 15 years, they are the largest most successful marketing company on the planet, I know marketing well and most of it is moronic but efficient)
finally
I recommend reading this guy. (ALL of it!)
And the charge?
Thats so 20th century.Last edited by martin ewen; Jan-25-2005, 03:57 PM. -
Thanks for the advice Martin. I realize that the book is all about marketing, and that it is very expensive. Although I really appreciate that links to check out. I have looked at fuel for arts before and really like its resources. Havn't looked at gaping void.com (and yes I will read the entire whole huge thing). I tell you what I think.
Has anyone else actually read the book? If so is it worth the money? Also anyother free online resources people thought were helpful would much appreciated. Thanks again Martin!Comment

Do you want ONE MILLION DOLLARS??!!?!?
The book is a joke.
It's about hard-sell, high pressure marketing and salesmanship. It's really in your face (ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!) and the contact lists are worthless.
Also, Randy Charac will spam the hell out of you and tell you how "You too can be a spammer!" oh and did I mention- ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!
