Crossing Bridges
Tuesday 29th - Saturday 3rd of May
10.00 - 16.00

This 5-day juggling intensive will be run as a laboratory into juggling
patterns and ideas: it will look into ways of structuring and
choreographing juggling material, in addition to studying pure technique.
Each day will start with a physical warm up, and subjects covered will
include:
Relationship between music and juggling
Notations, their practical uses in solo and group (passing and multi-handed
juggling)
Combining dance and juggling
Passing with clubs/rings
Multi-handed ball juggling
Ideas on technique: dwell times, body posture, throwing positions etc
The guest teacher is Maksim Komaro. Maksim is one of his generations'
leading jugglers. Part of the scandinavian juggling movement he is a founder
member of the popular Peapot Video.
Besides working with Peapot he also runs his own contemporary circus
Company Circo Aereo and has worked with Jerme Thomas. Together with Ville
Walo he
organises 5-3-1 Festival of New and Experimental Juggling.
Sean and Kati (Gandini Juggling) have been researching and teaching
Juggling for the last decade. This research has gone from early work in
experimental
dance and juggling to current concerns with accessibility for this
often-underrated art form. They have worked with and taught many of today's
leading jugglers, dancers and choreographers.
