Does anyone know of an instructional video on hoola hoop tricks? Or places that teach hoola hoops? Are there any hoola hoop artists in Canada, specifically Toronto that I could network with?
Lori Lomelli has an instructional video you can order from her website. I can't remember the website at the moment but it should be easy to find in a google search.
Good luck! One day when I come to Toronto we can meet and play with hula hoops.
I've actually got that video. She's a quick one! I've got some of the tricks down except for the ankle up and knee up. Any advice? I know practise makes perfect but it really hasn't happened for me. I find it so much fun that I don't want to get overly frustrated with it!
You can email me at blossom@circusorange.com
Heehee!
Thanks a bunch

ummm, I don't actually have the video, I just know it exists. I would try to help, but I don't know what 'knee up' and 'ankle up' are. Do you mean the one where you pick it up of the floor to your knees and then get it to come up from your knees to your waist?
Damnit, it's so hard to explain without being in person - I'll have a think about it.
Yup, those are the ones. Everything else has come to me except for those two. Which then is limiting. I've watched the video a gazillion times (slow mo) and than visualized, visualized, visualized and practised, practised, practised. But with no success (my lungs feel good tho').
Hence the request for help or another video!!! But if you do have written advice I'd appreciate that too!
