WOW!
That's what I say overtime I get my new issue of Spectacle, A Quarterly Journal of the Circus Arts. Just got the Winter issue and WOW!
Every issue is jam packed with reviews of circus productions from around the world. The descriptions and photo are top notch and bear rereading, they are so enjoyable.
In this issue, Page 6 has an ad for the 2002-2003 39 week Clown Conservatory at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts. Also mentioned are two day Intensive Clowning Workshops in March and April.. call Peggy Ford 415-759-8123 http://www.circuscenter.org/
(Under Construction)
Pg. 19 features a book review of The First Man to Discard the Word Circus, Dan Rice the most famous man you never heard of. By David Carlyon.
Pg. 33 A review of MotionFest http://www.juggling.org/MotionFest/
The rest of this glossy high quality black and white journal is jam packed with articles on circus and the performing arts. I can't praise it highly enough. http://www.spectaclemagazine.com/
Subscribe now, and buy the back issues devoted to clowning, you won't be disappointed. Subscriptions make great gifts. Single copies make great door prizes for meetings and the like. Good for charity auctions as well. I actually have a double subscription so I can give away single copies with out being deprived!
Walking tall, and reading Spectacle!
