    Whats good for the goose...
For those of us perhaps not being 'racy or 'fairly controversial' over some 7 year period that could be loosely called a career throughout what, nth america?
    When? 80s, 90s?
Who exactly is this self serving legend called dale and when can we look forward to the movies Dale 1, 2 and 3.
So you've lost one narcissist Robert.
Not even a hiccup let alone a belch.
While some of what you are writing would surely come under, "disfunctional lives of the self inflated and unknown-What I did with my life before moving to a third world country where the little girls are cheap"
I'm sure your treatments motivation is not entirely about scandalious behaviour conducted in a small pond some time in the past.
Probably afford him new thatch for his roof, who is this 'legend' anyway?

      Who indeed?
A legendary, exploitive sheister who presided over the Halifax Buskers empire for - what did he say? 7 years? The tenor of his note to Robert is entirely indicative of his demeanour - the fact that he's now trying to carve out yet another buck on the backs of people with talent and septums - something he has neither of - is as predictable as the trail of slime left behind by a slug. Other than all that - heckfire! what a super guy!

        Alert!

Just received this ... apparently it was Dale's idea of a joke to send me the former e-mail ... what an asshole!

        My dear friend Robert,

I assume that you somewhat shocked and appalled considering the tone of the last missive being forwarded in your direction. Well rest assured it was all bullshit. Just thought that I would get some kind of rise out of you. You’re sooo touchy at times.

Back to reality! Yes someday some one or some persons will put together a reasonable book about the art but if you want my two cents worth I believe that if would be far more productive o develop either a television or movie script. Books are a tough market however there is always a studio or movie group willing to buy something that is of mass appeal and you must admit everyone knows about street performers in one way or the other.

I wouldn’t mind sharing a few ideas and see where they go from there. With the right chemistry something truly wonderful could develop but it needs a healthy dose of reality in a sense that the story is targeted to a primary market where the money is.

I will provide some ideas that I have jotted down and let’s exchange ideas for a while. If something begins to sparkle I know of a perfect island where we can work for a couple months to work out the good stuff. Of course, these expenses would be paid by the companies interested in buying in advance and I think we could sell our idea very easily.

        Love ya

        dale

I'm looking for a book entitled "The Buskers" by David Cohen and Ben Greenwood.
Apparently, it traces street entertainment as far into the past as ancient Rome.

And no, it doesn't mention me.

By the way the chapter I'm writing now is entitled:

          Romulus, Remus or Raoul?

            Hi Robert,

Is it too late to post questions (don't care if I'm in the book)?

            1. Have you ever regretted pursuing a career as a street performer?

            2. What's kept you going through the bad times?

            3. Where's the strangest place you've performed?

Most of the other ones I have, have already been asked by other people.

                  Karl,
Thanks ever so for the link suggestion ... while they didn't have a secure site (encryption) they did call me from Sydney for billing purposes and the book is on it's way ... a special thanks to you for supplying the info.

Glad it came in handy. Martin just stopped in, and I got the guided tour of your new website. Bravo! Bastard, you are raising the bar on us. Looking forward to reading the stories, but the lawn needs mowing. Must've fired the lawn girl, or given her the summer off.

ps I think that hat is a little big on you.

A moth on the head is worth a kick in the balls.

Hey Robert, the new website is really smashing ("smashing" is not a word I think I've ever used as a adjective, but somehow it just seems to fit). Kudos to your web designer.

And I even learned something--it seems I unknowingly stole your line/bit about putting out the torch using only your mouth. So, I guess from now on I'll say, "I will now extinquish this torch using only the Butterfly Man's mouth." Yeah, that works.
