Hey, there are whole bunch of free hosting/free design web-sites on the net right now, some of them put ads on your site and some do not. I just made my new site in www.weebly.com - they do not put any ads, just the footer at the bottom of the page, and it was really easy to build a site without any HTML - you just choose a template, upload pictures and text and publish. Do not buy domans from weebly - they charge arm and leg for domains - I got a domain at www.netfirms.com for 59$ for 5 years, it would be about 160$ with weebly...and you can just link your domain to weebly site. There's another good free hosting/free web-design site - wix.com, I will try to play with it also, they have good templates for photo-galleries.
