    Mootools

Mootools is a light minimalist but tight suite of free javascript applications that allows you to roll your own combo of features out of the box.

I know that sounds like marketing but it's actually just me explaining it.

Does anyone here have any experience with it. I've found a website I want to reproduce in terms of it's navigation structure but want to build it from scratch but may well steal and adapt, I'm only after her navigation. I'll contact the originator, a 24 year old woman in singapore who no longer does freelance stuff and thank her for her design format idea but then I want to just go ahead and make this thing quickly.
Lee Zimmerman and I have formed a duo and are constructing a circle show.
We want our site to work like this.
Melissa Hie is a Product Designer based in Singapore.

Mootools, prototype, and jQuery all do the same stuff, but jQuery is the best, most well documented, and developer supported, use jQuery, it's a lot easier.

from what I've seen and the limited function I'm after, it's a matter of taste and prior experience more than anything, they are both standards compliant but for me mootools has the ready rolled/ roll your own option that is easier to configure.
Still if you can get the same basic effect with as little code in jQuery with the same easy configerable online toolset, point me there.
As it is I can get what I need from the source of the site in terms of the Java stuff without having to really learn a new minor language.
It's a little bit of a fanboi clash of cultures the whole Javascript framework IMO
      Here's the latest comparison
Update (02-03-2009): Recently things are going a bit beyond the healthy conversations and various people are taking the whole “which-is-the-fastest-framework” idea way too seriously.

      Apples and oranges
The site I like was created and implements mootools, if there is an easier way point me there.
Cos I just want to get it done.
      Thanks

additionally, given that's merely a java compiling choice and not worth that much time.
The pages themselves, use which adobe flavor to make them? or something else?
