    my first demo videos

    Howdy,
i just recently got my first demo videos on my website.
i'd be greatful if you could take a gander and give me some constructive critizism.
i realize that the 'music video' is too long, so don't comment on that one.
    thanks.

    first demo videos

    Hi Lefty,

    Nice quality camera.

Biggest thing I noticed (at least with the one called Recent Highlights) is that you don't have any shots of people actually enjoying what you are doing. When doing the contact juggling and cups and balls, it seems that everyone is just casually walking by without stopping. That doesn't serve you well.

The music doesn't fit the video. I don't get why it starts and stops. That is distracting. Find some dynamic music and then make the cuts of video match, using the beat of the music to enhance what you are doing visually.

Videos should give a reason for hiring you, not just a catalog of the tricks you do. Show the effect your machete juggling has on the audience, not just that you can juggle machetes. Lots of people juggle machetes, but you are obviously a unique performer. The video has to sell YOU, not the tricks or props.

Get your personality to the forefront. That is the sizzle that sells the steak.

    Steve
